DC native and singer-songwriter, Zaneta, better known as Z, has encompassed the many different musical aspects of the city and has developed an alternative sound that spans across different genres. After performing with different Go-Go and cover bands in the DC area, Z was finally ready to steer into her own lane and in the summer of 2023, A.F.R.O.B.A.M. was born!
Since their inception, A.F.R.O.B.A.M. has been acknowledged on FOX 5, featured at the Atlas Intersections Festival, performed at DC State Fair, H Street Festival, and even served as the house recording band at the legendary Omega Studios...and this is only the beginning. With performances on acclaimed stages, such as the Tidal Basin for the National Cherry Blossom Festival, and the sheer talent and passion of the musicians, A.F.R.O.B.A.M.'s bright future seems inevitable.
